Interested parents are invited to contact the school for a tour of our facilities. During the tour, parents will meet with our Principal, Paul Bamberger or our Daycare Director, Candace Mohammed to discuss both the academic curriculum and innovative programs offered at Junior Academy. Appointments are available upon request.
For those parents who wish to proceed with registration for our Toddler or Preschool program , we ask that you please fill out our daycare application form and submit a $300 deposit to secure an available spot. Registration takes place throughout the year and is on a first-come basis.
For students applying to Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten, at least one classroom visit will be scheduled. Visiting students are placed in their current grade level where they are observed and expected to take part in class activities. Registration can take place throughout the year and is on a first-come basis.
Students applying for Grades 1 to 3 will be asked to visit the school for at least for one full day. While visiting, students are given an entrance assessment to evaluate their levels of academic achievement in the core subject areas of Language Arts and Mathematics.
Students applying for Grades 4 to 8 visit the school for at least one full day. While visiting, students are given an entrance assessment to evaluate their levels of academic achievement in the core subject areas of Language Arts and Mathematics. In addition, students will meet with the principal for a short, informal interview.
Copies of the two previous end of year report cards as well as assessment reports (if applicable) will be requested prior to a student visit.
Following the visit assessment and receipt of all required information an ‘Offer of Placement’ will be forwarded, if appropriate. Parents will be contacted and the offer letter will be emailed.
