Interested parents are invited to contact the school for a tour of our facilities. During the tour, parents will meet with our school Admin Staff or our Daycare Director to discuss both the academic curriculum and innovative programs offered at Junior Academy. Appointments are available upon request.
For those parents who wish to proceed with registration for our Toddler or Preschool program and a space is avaliable, we ask that they fill out our daycare application form and submit a deposit to secure the available space. Registration takes place throughout the year and is on a first-come basis.
For students applying to Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten, at least one classroom visit will be scheduled. Visiting students are observed and expected to take part in class activities. Registration can take place throughout the year and is on a first-come basis.
Students applying for Grades 1 to 3 will be asked to visit the school for at least one full day. During their visit, students will complete an assessment designed to evaluate their academic achievement in the core subject areas of Language Arts and Mathematics. The assessment helps us better understand each student’s current academic strengths and areas where additional support or development may be beneficial.
Students applying for Grades 4 to 8 will visit the school for at least one full day. During their visit, students will complete an academic assessment in Language Arts and Mathematics to help identify their strengths and areas for development. Students will also meet with the Principal for a short, informal interview.
Copies of the two previous report cards as well as assessment reports (if applicable) will be requested prior to a student visit.
Following the visit assessment and receipt of all required information an ‘Offer of Placement’ will be forwarded, if appropriate. Parents will be contacted and the offer letter will be emailed.
