Class Parent / Party for the Fall
At the beginning of the school year, parents from various classes have gotten together for an evening either at someone’s home or at a local restaurant for drinks, to chat and get to know each other. This year, many of these social evenings happened in the late fall. In an effort to welcome new families and promote community within JA, it would be ideal if these events could occur closer to the beginning of the school year. If you are willing to organize or host a get together in the fall please contact Nick Johnson, firstname.lastname@example.org . We have already had one parent volunteer to host the grades 1 and 2 party! We are still looking for volunteers who are willing to organize / host a get-together for the following grades:
Preschool and Kindergarten
Grades 3 and 4
Grades 5 and 6
Grades 7 and 8
Sport / Play Day
Junior Academy’s annual Sports / Play Day will be held on Tuesday, June 13th. Students will participate in regular classes until 10:40, at which time the whole school will go to the fields at York Mills Arena until lunch. Additional activities are also being planned for the afternoon portion of the day.
Final Day of School
The final day of this school year is Friday, June 16th. We will begin the day with an assembly, and school talent show. Students may wear free dress, report cards will be distributed and there will be an early pick-up. 12:00 (K-2), 12:10 (3-5), 12:20 (6-8).
